125 YEARS MODERN
Houlihan Lawrence¹s earliest roots date back to 1888 when William
Lawrence first established Lawrence Investments in Bronxville. A
visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist, Mr. Lawrence played a
critical role in the development of several of Westchester¹s premier
communities and also founded Sarah Lawrence College and Lawrence Hospital.
Today, Mr. Lawrence¹s legacy of innovation, excellence and service lives on at
Houlihan Lawrence, which is still co-headquartered in the historic
Bronxville building where it all began over 125 years ago.

When the Seaman family acquired Houlihan Lawrence in 1990 from the
Lawrence family, it cemented a fourth-generation heritage in
Westchester real estate. Following in the footsteps of great
grandfather, Henry Sullivan, as well as a grandfather and uncle who
were all active in local real estate, owners Nancy Seaman and her
brothers Stephen Meyers and Chris Meyers have dedicated themselves to
building the most successful real estate team in the region. In fact,
Houlihan Lawrence sold 67% of all properties sold for over $2 million
last year in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess Counties.* Today,
Houlihan Lawrence is the largest independent real estate brokerage with
over twelve hundred agents and twenty-six offices serving Westchester,
Fairfield, Putnam and Dutchess counties.

Celebrating 125 years, the standards of quality originally set by
William Lawrence have endured. At our core, Houlihan Lawrence remains
the same family-owned business that began in Bronxville so many years
ago. Our philosophy of first-class personalized service delivered with
the greatest integrity and refinement, regardless of price range, has
not changed over the years and remains as relevant in the 21st century
as it did in 1888. Our commitment to service has been a cornerstone of
our success and today, Houlihan Lawrence continues to be the #1 selling
real estate brokerage in Westchester County.
